More Valentine Cards!!

Here are some more samples I made for my Valentine's Day card Open house which is tomorrow from noon to 4pm. I used the Heart to Heart Punch along with the Filled with Love set which is sadly no longer around. I also used the Small Heart Punch for the inside of the love stamp.

Next is another cute card using the Valentine Defined set from the Occasions Mini Catty. I also used the owl from the Punch Bunch set out of the Sale*A*Bration catty. Very super cute set to get FREE when you spend $50 or more. All 5 stamps in this set coordinate with a punch. I sadly do not have the owl punch yet so I had to hand cut it.

So if you live in the Fayettville, NC area and would like to come to my Valentine Open House. Please give me a call at 517-712-9635.

Altered Vera Bradley Purse

I bought a new Vera Bradley Purse but in my excited that it had a leather strap I overlooked the fact it did not zip or snap shut. I have a tendency to drop or dump my purse, so having it snap shut was a must for me. But it was problem easily solved. I went to Jo Anns and bought some magnetic snaps and applied them to the purse. But now I had a new problem. The outside of the snap was showing and was not appealing to the eye...it was an EYE SORE! So I started going thru my different sets of brads, trying to find something that was around the same size and had 4 of. Came across an unopened box of Antique Brads and load and behold. Perfect size and perfect color. So I slid the brad into the opening, applied some super glue and now no more eye sore!! Very happy with the results. Love it when something turns out right for once. :)

More Valentine Cards

Started yesterday morning making more Valentines Day cards. Of course had to start with the super cute flamingo stamp from the set Valentine Defined which you will find HERE in the Occasions Mini. I used Pink Pirouette paper, retired accessories and DSP.

Next is a card a cased from Stamping with Dorothy. I changed the colors to Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler along with Love Patterns DSP. The set is Things I Love, which the set speaks for itself! I used the Victoria Crochet Trim. Totally love anything vintage! While making this card, I was inspired to create this...

Nothing says Valentine's Day better than CHOCOLATE! Along with the Things I love set, I used items from the Filled with Love Promotion. Filled with Love stamp set, the buttons and Love Patterns DSP all in one low price. But you gotta hurry and order soon, the promotion ends on Monday Jan 24th. I put the chocolates on dimensionals...did I mention I LOVE dimensionals? I think I order some with every order I put in I love them that much. I then put crystal effects on top the chocolates to make them stand out more.  Im a big fan of the small details.

Moments

Here is something I made recently. I put a decor element Life Milestones onto a canvas. I applied some ink and modpodge before applying the sticker. Its not quite what I was aiming to create but it still looks pretty cool! For someone like me who moves alot. Putting decor elements on a canvas or something is a better investment since Ill get more than one use out of it.

Here is also a pic of my craft room at the moment...pretty crazy huh? I get my Ikea delivery on Tuesday so Ill put up a pic later once I get the room all organized. I have to make ANOTHER trip to Ikea because the desk portion of the unit I want was out of stock and to order ANYTHING online, shipping will be way way way toooooo much. But lucky for Ikea I LOVEEE them soo much the 3 hour ride is totally worth it.

You may be wondering why there is a a bed frame in there too. I wanted an idea of space when I put the room together so Ill still have room to put up the air matress when I have guests come. Cant wait to get my room functional!!!

Here are a couple samples I made today for the Open House. The top two were copied right out of the Occasions Mini Catalog, which the set is in-Valentine Defined. The sucker holder I also used the set Filled with Love, which is for sale as a bundle set right now. It came with the set and some DSP and you get some cute clear heart shaped buttons too!.
I am totally in love with the flamingo

stamp. It's soo cute!! Im off to Ikea tomorrow, so hopfully Ill get my craft room organized soon. Will most pic of room when finished.

Moved...again!

I have moved...again! I went from Washington to MI in Aug 2009, MI to WA in June 2010 and WA to NC in Nov 2010. Now, and hopfully for a good amount of time I am living at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I have finally gotten most of the boxes unpacked and finally am getting to sorting out my craft room. I am planning on getting an Ikea desk/bookshelf soon. So my room is a disaster till then. And crazy me decided to plan a Valentine card open house on Feb 5th..so that means Ill be putting together some Valentine card ideas. But its been soo long since I stamped and FINALLY after almost a year I have ALL my stamping supplies in ONE location. My goal is to be posting at least twice a week. Lets see how long I can keep it up. So check back soon for some new card pictures!!!!

Coffin Box

I decided not to hand out candy this year and enjoy trick or treating with my boys. But I couldnt let the holiday go by without doing SOMETHING! I saw this coffin box on Martha Stewart's website a while ago and now finally sat down to make it. I highly suggest watching the video before you start making them. It was alot easier than I thought and sturdier too! If my husband was still deployed I would have loved to send him one of these. The paper is SU retired Cast-A-Spell. The stamp set is Martha Stewart's...I would rather used my SU ones but alas 80% of my stamps are still in MI at my mother's. The paper I had to have my mom mail it to me..lol. Im making these for the kids whom are trick or treating with us.

Birthday Card

Bought a cupcake punch at a local stamp store and just had to try it out. Here's a card I made for my best friends birthday. There is two different punches so it was awesome for punching out in different colors. I made a card similar to this before but I had to cut by hand each cupcake so this was alot nicer!!

Baby Onesie cards

I have been busy the last couple months. I moved back to Washington and my husband came home. Here some stuff Ive done. Baby card for a shower I went to and a gift set of thank yous and annoucements I made for another friend. All made with retired By Ones and Twos set.

Reindeer Poop!

I was making these to sell at a craft show. I used the retired hostess set Deer Friends and retired Ski Slope DP. I was only able to make a couple due to the fact my 2 year old decided he wanted to eat most of my raisins!!! LOL!

Gift Tags

Another great gift idea. Everyone always needs gift tags. And it was another great way to use up some retired christmas paper that was taking up space. Stamp- Delightful Decorations, and punch!

Custom Coffee Mug

First pic is a bag full of goodies for my trick or treaters. I did the same thing last year, and I had some left over all ready cut out. Cute way to hand out goodies and get rid of scrap/retired paper. The next pictures is a coffee travel mug that unscrews on the bottom so you can put in your own paper. I got the idea from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts blog. I made this to send to my husband who is in Iraq. Its a great idea for out of state family because you can send them a new insert every couple of months.

Xmas cards in gift form

A really cool gift idea. Stamp out some cards along with some envelopes and booyah! I got the idea from my Mama Sue who is my crafting goddess. The second card is the results of just playing around with the scraps. Cause we NEVER throw away scraps! LOL :)

Holiday Baskets

Saw the Pillow Box Bucket tech on SCS, and went crazy!! Now I have a friend who wants one for each holiday so there will be more to add. :)

65 cards out of 2 Simply Scrapin Kits- Christmas Jingle

I made these to sell at a craft show at my church in Dec. I got some ideas from SCS but once I got going it was very easy to make up my own ideas. I used 2 Simply Scrappin Kits-Christmas Jingle, some Very Vanilla paper, and misc ribbon I had on hand. I got 65 cards made with only one sheet of borders and some DP lefted over. Very cost efficent, and FAST way to whip out Christmas cards.
